To swim' has two different past tenses depending on whether the infinitive is пливти or плисти, although there is only one non-past paradigm (пливу, пливеш, and so on); the past tense of плисти has clearly developed by analogy with such verbs as вести, мести. In perfective verbs the future is simply the non-past paradigm, while in imperfective verbs two future formations exist.
